CEMASTEA, through the Curriculum, Teacher Capacity Development and Coordination (CTCDC) function, is conducting a national capacity-building programme for STEM Heads of Departments in senior schools.
The training is running from 7th to 10th April 2026 across 45 INSET Centres and reaches participants drawn from 40 counties.
The programme is anchored on preparing senior schools for the Grade 9 to Grade 10 transition under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework, with a deliberate focus on STEM leadership, departmental planning, assessment and instructional coaching.
Heads of Departments are being equipped to lead curriculum implementation within their schools, mentor subject teachers, and build coherent STEM pathways for learners entering senior school.
