Housed at CEMASTEA, the NSC promotes and upgrades the teaching and learning of STEM subjects in Kenya through research, in-service training, laboratory design, and production of low-cost teaching and learning aids.

Our Mandate

Advancing the teaching and learning of STEM across Kenya.

The National Science Centre is mandated with promoting and upgrading the teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. NSC engages in activities that include research, in-service training of STEM teachers and teacher educators, co-ordination of STEM subject associations, designing and installing laboratories, provision of library services, production of supplementary reading materials, and the development of low-cost teaching and learning aids.
